Who should apply?
BRIGHT-CS is for any girl with an interest in computer science. Girls who identify as Black or Latina are especially encouraged to apply. Black includes African American, African, Caribbean, Afrolatino and non-white Hispanic.
How are applicants selected?
BRIGHT-CS works because the classes are small. This allows girls to form close friendships. If too many girls apply, then BRIGHT-CS will select participants at random.
What does the application involve?
Girls will complete a survey about themselves. They will also answer two open response questions. The application takes around 30 minutes to complete. It can be saved and completed over multiple days.
When is the application due?
All applications are due by December 14, 2018. Applicants will be notified if they were selected by winter break.

Girls can apply here. The application requires a password. If you do not yet have the password, please have your parent complete the Parent Consent Form. The password will appear after they complete the form.
